PostHeaderIcon Social Media Marketing – A New Marketers Best Shot?

Join my free membership site and steal my best money making secret click here...

Hey Jeff Bode here and I have to admit, I really want to help new internet marketers make their first sales online…

The thing is it’s such an awesome feeling when you make your first sale online, I still get excited when I make some nice commissions – it’s like I just did this… and someone was willing to pay me for that?

This article is for you! because I think anyone has an honest shot at making money by simply adapting the ‘let me help you approach

You see there are tons of ways to make money online, but many of them are not new marketer friendly!

That’s where social media is different…

Have you heard of Perry Belcher? …he made over a million dollars using social media and he did it all in less than 2 years, just by building upon his social media success (unfortunately, he has retired from social media marketing a short time ago to spend time with his family)

So here’s the deal, the ‘let me help you approach’ is basically just that…

you deliver quality content and information

then ask people to be your friends or many times you don’t even have to ask!

next you drop links to your blog or optin (squeeze) page where they can get more information about you… better yet, more information about the subject you are sharing on the social media site(s)

if your product or a product you recommend helps them cha-ching!

Be the cool kid at the party, add value and be interesting – people love it if you can pull it off!

So here are the best places to start

Twitter – This should be your main source of making friends and being helpful because you can easily find a massive amount of interested people…

I like to automate the process of getting followers see this video Twitters Elite

Next, post helpful information on your blog and on youtube

This gives them a better chance to get to know you and choose to do business with you!

Here’s a few example tweets you could send…

Video – check out this video about [your niche topic]

Blog Post: [your blog post title]

Or you can use the ‘cool thing you just found approach’

I just found this cool video [link to your video]

Check out this cool blog post

That should give you plenty of ideas to get going also make sure you recommend other quality stuff in your niche that’s related!

Now, I could have stopped there, but…

I wanted to tell you about a new social media tool you need to start using ASAP!

It’s called Google Friend Connect -see that box on the right side of my blog?

That’s for Google Friend Connect, you should add it to your blog today (even if it’s a free blog)

Here’s why…

Google is slowly releasing invites to Google Wave which will combine a bunch of social media sites and will be the ‘hottest thing’ for many reasons… it even lets you post twitter tweets in a wave and post videos, text, pics…

It’s great! I’ve been playing around with it for a few weeks now!

Every Google Friend Connect friend you can get will be a contact on Google Wave, this means you will already have Google Wave friends when you join Google Wave + you have Gmail (Google Mail) contacts as Google Wave friends…

Google Wave lets you be more helpful so you have a HUGE chance at getting new customers!

That’s not all, Google is going to release the Google Chrome OS soon this will allow Google to have a powerful commanding lead in social media many people will start using the Google Chrome Operating System (it’s all online).

Your chance to get a head start on everyone else is with Google Friend Connect

Be sure to click the ‘join this site’ button (left side of my blog) so that we can be Google Friend Connect friends – Like you I want Google Friend Connect friends so I can share Google Waves with you (when you get your invite)

Thanks for reading!

Jeff Bode

Twitter is actually the first social media I’ve really liked. And I love Twitter! It’s so great to get new friends and associates there, and to keep in touch with easy little messages – just as easy as sending an SMS.

Somebody talled me to install the Google friend-thingy, and I guess it’s the way to go, so thanks for pointing me in that direction.

    Best wishes,
    Britt Malka

I have learned so much from you about twitter already and now this is the ground floor of something even better.

    Thank you.

    Here is another comment.
    Stop crying

  • Marie says:

Hi Jeff, You’re very right. But social media like MySpace and Facebook is a no no for me because no company is offering high-speed internet connection where I live. An social media is so band-width heavy…

    Cioa!

  • admin says:

@HawaiiWebMan I’m not crying… I’m trying to get more action takers!

It’s working… thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming, what do you want to know more about related to this topic?

  • HawaiiWebMan says:

    Hello
WoW You have a pr 7
That should have people want to comment and link to you for the juice!
    Thanks

    Hi Jeff
I got your mail about the few comments.
    Pretty smart trick!!!!!
I am in many communities, but not google wave, I’ll check it out.
Ok, a question for you. You have google PR7!!!! How is that possible?

    linktree

  • admin says:

The PR 7 is from the stumble upon tool bar link, without it my blog is only a PR 2 (as of right now)

    …sorry for the confusion

I wish I had a PR 7 blog, yeah it would probably have a lot more comments!
    thanks for the comments though!

I’m proud of everyone that took action and left a comment, more comments are always welcome

I’ll spend some time over the weekend going over wha tyou’ve got here, I’ve considered doing IM but the overload everything , i just want 1 easy to start up system, then worry about all the bells and whistles later – i’ve got enough in the rest of my life to get me confused, lat alone something that’s suppose dto help. i’ll let you know how i go….

  • Petri says:

    Hi WebMan
I think you need to have a site in the same topic, to bennefit from the good PR.

My first link was to a golf site and this is to my community, there you can advertise for free.

    Another Q for Jeff
I have sites with PR0 that rank better on google than my PR3 site. QUE!!!!!

  • admin says:

@Perrie you should start simple, many people tend to overcomplicated things, then get overloaded with having to do too much!

@Petri page rank is passed regardless of the topic, you just get more link juice if it’s to a related site

PR (page rank) doesn’t matter that much for search engine rankings, it depends more on the keywords – their competition level, how many links you have to your site and how relevant that site is for the specific keyword.

Only Google uses Page Rank, a better indicator or traffic is the Alexa rank (the lower that # the more traffic)

    Hey Jeff,

    Loved the email :)

I know how discouraging it can be to write a great blog post and then not have anyone interact with it. I’ve been tempted to throw in the towel more than once. Thanks for the push on Google Friend Connect. I’ve been meaning to add it to my blogs for awhile now, but never seem to get there.

    Have a great day!

    Lena

  • Allen says:

Have to admit the guilt trip worked… and I’m commenting : ) What you’ve just described sounds like the perfect way to pre-sell everything. Good content followed by a relevant resource to fill in the gaps…

    Thanks for the post.

  • George says:

I find that the information you post is some of the BEST on the net. Keep up the great work.

  • Chuck says:

Thanks for the great info, Jeff. Sorry it took so long to respond!

  • Vince Craine says:

    Hello Jeff, Vince Craine here,

I am one of the creators of Tweetelitepro.com

To date I have 44,000 followers and what you
say is so true. So many people just do not know the right way to act let alone build relationships on twitter. The worst thing you can do is become a Social Media Marketing Whore. Perry Belcher was so successful because he treated social media sites like a party. He loved people and became their friend first coach second.

Update: just so you know Jay is working on a new version or Tweetelite pro that will have multiple accounts and GPS keyword tracking. Two very powerful features not to mention we are talking to twitter and are in full compliance with there TOS.

    Thanks again,

You Jeff are not one of those crumb droppers that we come across every day.

  • Samuel Munro says:

  • Hey Jeff,

Great tactic to get people to your blog and even better information once I got here.

This is great information. I like how you kept things right to the point.

    Keep it up!

    Michael Stracher

  • Congratulations Jeff on getting more than 10 comments! Now, the next stage is to close the blog post when you get up to 100 comments. :)

I tried Google Wave but thought it was more looking to replace the other social media channels, rather than integrate with them. But, based on your recommendation, I may give it another go.

  • David Hake, Sr. says:

Hi Jeff……Thought I left a note, but if not here’s another! Sorry I can’t afford to BUY anything, and I can’t afford NOT to, I guess. Good job on the blog. Thanks, David H.
