Just found your site Jeff after your follow on Twitter and glad I did! Really useful vid and information. It can also be useful to apply your same tips about using Google groups, forums, shopping etc for market research to other sites such as Amazon, Ebay etc – doing the market research saves a lot of wasted effort down the line. Solid advice Jeff. Profitable marketing is all about supply and demand. Plus you pointed out some extra things. You probably just saved someone months or even years of failure. You got to get the market research right.

I’m glad you’re getting some use out of this video.

Remember that when doing this type of research the main goal is to find ‘common problems’ that occur more than once. You should also do other research on top of using the method.

Then take the most common problems and decide how you can solve them or offer a solution in your product, the cool thing is you can use a combination of solutions you found when doing your research.
