I am just learning about groups in my FaceBook page. Thanks for the Google tips. Even to fill in the Advanced Search page had me going in circles, thanks to make it all so clear, I really appreciate. I was under the impression that a small group would give me less competition, I am looking at Caribbean travel, I love blogging and am an ex-newspaper reporter/photographer! best Victoria
Good idea. I just got to your email and found this video. I’ve seen similar idea with Twitter. Although tabulating such results may be a problem, and if you just see a single question, that’s no indication.

I’m glad you’re getting some use out of this video.
Remember that when doing this type of research the main goal is to find ‘common problems’ that occur more than once. You should also do other research on top of using the method.
Then take the most common problems and decide how you can solve them or offer a solution in your product, the cool thing is you can use a combination of solutions you found when doing your research.

It can also be useful to apply your same tips about using Google groups, forums, shopping etc for market research to other sites such as Amazon, Ebay etc – doing the market research saves a lot of wasted effort down the line.
