PostHeaderIcon 5 Cool Twitter Tricks You Should Be Using

Recently I’ve been testing multiple strategies using twitter for traffic generation. I decided to share a good one here with you today that you can use right away to get some twitter traffic to your blog.

Most twitter users completely under utilize twitter and those that know how to use it have a huge advantage and can gain a huge following.

5 twitter tricks to maximize twitter traffic

1 Create a post on your blog that is twitter related or something that your twitter followers would be interested in. For instance this very blog post is a good example. Try to deliver some good content that people would love to share on twitter.

2 Optimize your blog to work with twitter, as you can see I have optimized my blog with a few simple wordpress plug-ins most of which are free.

3 Optimize your blog to get members on your mailing list or to subscribe to your blog.
This creates another form of connecting with people and growing your twitter following, you can even send out an email on Aweber and have it post on twitter.

4 Utilize the @ reply on twitter such as @jbode if you were sending a reply to me. This creates several important advantages including more exposure for you and the person your replying to, twitter users are more likely to check an @ reply than a direct message, an @ reply is more personal…

5 Start using this in your blog and you will get more blog traffic
Plus it is free to do and once you figure it out it is easy to implement.

Create a blog post as indicated in tip 1, optimize your blog as in tips 2 & 3.

PostHeaderIcon How Are You Building Your Websites?

Recently I received an email asking me how long it takes to build a good website? He told me he had been working on a site for 4 months. So I replied to this message asking if the site has made any money yet? The response was that he was improving the site so he hasn’t worked on getting traffic to it yet!

Now, I see a major problem here and I think it is a common problem. Your goal as an online business owner should be to make money as soon as possible. This means don’t spend several months making everything perfect. This means not having 50 partial projects that aren’t making you squat. Sure I have several projects that I’m working on so I’m guilty as well.

It’s human nature to get side tracked entrepreneurial ADD is a very common problem. We have so many new ideas that we think are so good that we focus on that idea for a little while them get another idea and focus on that after a while we have 50 ideas and no businesses.

So here was my solution, about 3 weeks ago I created a folder on my computer called “ideas box” I got this idea from Justin Brooke, I think he has an actual box. So every time I have an idea I write it out – summarize it and save it in my ideas box folder. Now I can go back to it when the time is right, some ideas I will never use, but some will be very helpful when the time comes.

The important thing is, you will not quite your current project and as a result you can continue to work on that project until you do what it takes to finish it and hopefully make money with it.

On to the next point, if it takes you 2 months to build a website and you have no visitors coming to it, you are taking too long. The reason I give away wordpress themes is so that you can quickly create websites and start driving traffic to that website.

Then you test and tweak the site after you have visitors coming to it. You can get visitors the first day you promote a new site and even make some sales that same day or you can wait 4 months and lose out on all those sales you could have been making.

In fact on the lazy marketer blog, Chris Rempel said the sites that he spent a lot of time setting everything up to perfection would in many cases not perform as well as the sites he spent very little time creating. I’m not sure exactly why, but I’m sure he didn’t like that he wasted all that time setting everything up to be perfect only to throw up another site and have it out perform the site he spent time perfecting.

An imperfect site that has visitors can make you money, a perfect website that you spent 4 months working on, that doesn’t have any visitors isn’t going to make you a dime. Nobody knows your site exist!

Now is the time to take action get your site up and get traffic to it as soon as possible, if it’s making you money then consider spending more time making it better otherwise move onto the next website and get that one going. You should also apply this to list building – get subscribers as fast as possible, learn how I do it from my free course list building exposed.

PostHeaderIcon “Curiosity” A Powerful Motivator?

Hey, have you ever considered the sheer power curiosity holds? Earlier today I was asking a friend of mine (one of my mailing list subscribers) how he initially found his way onto my mail list?

Here’s a quick story of the conversation we had, “I found my way onto your mailing list about a week ago. It was through an article you wrote. The title of the article was unique asking me a question about traffic generation that I never considered, I was so ‘curious’ to know the answer behind this question, I actually read your whole article, I didn’t skim it…”

I asked him why he clicked on the link in the article this was his reply “I wasn’t satisfied with the answer in the article, I needed a more complete answer so logically I looked to your link for more information to satisfy my need to learn this traffic generation method”

As you can see curiosity motivates people to take action. People have a natural desire to satisfy curiosity. Why do you think questions are used the most in sales letters? Curiosity!

If you can persuade people to follow along the desired path with curiosity you have a powerful motivational tool. A great question can skyrocket click thru rates.

I recently learned that asking a question that is not as simple as yes or no is more interesting to people. It makes sense if someone can give an answer t o your question they will be less likely to pursue finding the answer.

Curiosity can be used in many ways, in headlines (a must), in the actual content body and even in the footer. Articles work great for this if you can keep the curiosity of your readers up you will have amazing click through rates.

I’ve even used this in sending emails, twitter, web 2.0 submissions and it works great. Do you want to know more? See, I told you always consider the power of curiosity.

P.S. Curiosity gives you more traffic and more money; you should embrace it and use it to your full advantage.

PostHeaderIcon What is Google Annihilation?

This year promises to be a great year for automation software’s. Rob Benwell, well known for his Bloging to the Bank product, is releasing Google Annihilation. I was very curious when I found out he got 2.1 million free visitors to one of his sites in only a few months. The problem is he doesn’t tell you anything about what he is actually selling.

So I made it my personal objective to find out what it is that is getting him this crazy amount of free traffic. After doing some research I found out this special automation software called Google Annihilation is a 3 way linking software. The concept is you have a link from your site to another site that site sends a link to another site and that site sends a link to you.

This is not a new concept. There are other 3way linking products available  the most popular being Jonathan Leger’s 3WayLinks. This product has had good reviews. Now we should only wonder if Google Annihilation is much better or not. By the way the prices are very similar being about $40 per month. Two other options are linkvana and neurolinker which use a similar type of linking method.

How Google Annihilation works is you chose keywords for each of your sites (.com only for this product) then you write a short summary of your site like you would for a directory submission.

Next, you add a links page to your own site (must be linked to from the index page)

Although, I think the idea of getting 1 way links from other sites are one of the best kinds of links for link juice to improve rankings, I do not recommend Google Annihilation, because it is limiting and doesn’t target your type of site as well as it should, plus it only allows dot com sites.

Final Verdict: Don’t buy Google Annihilation
